Salary: $22-28/hour

Pomponio Ranch North in San Gregorio, CA is an equine facility, and were looking for a full-time Equine Ranch Hand/Groom to join our team. This role combines daily grooming responsibilities for our young show jumping horses with general ranch work as needed.

Youll be part of a professional operation where horses are well cared for, the facilities are top notch, and the team works hard together to keep things running smoothly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide exceptional grooming services to support the trainers
• Groom responsibilities, e.g., lunge, bandage, wrap, administering therapies, etc.
• General Horse assistance, including but not limited to:
  • Feeding horses,
  • Turning horses out in pastures, bringing horses in from pastures, and helping move them to different pastures
  • Care and exercise of horses
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all animals on the Ranch
• Miscellaneous ranch work as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

• At least 1-2 years of experience and knowledge of caring for equines.
• Basic knowledge and experience as a groom for show jumping horses.
• Knowledge of safe work practices around horses and other livestock
• Experience in monitoring animal appearance/behavior and communicating any necessary information to superiors
• Strong communication skills
• Work effectively with minimal supervision, self-motivated and self-starter
• Strong commitment to teamwork
• Ability to adhere to the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations
• Flexibility in work schedule.
