Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 special education teaching position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Harrisonville, MO. This contract role focuses on providing specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs across grade levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working with K-12 students with varying disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver effective special education instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and inclusion
• Conduct ongoing assessments and update IEPs to reflect student progress
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on student placement and services
