Senior Tax Manager

Position Overview
The Manager of Tax & Accounting will oversee all aspects of tax compliance and accounting functions for the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing tax strategies, and providing leadership to the accounting team to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
• Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making by management.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax and accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, and corporate accounting practices.
• Proven leadership effectiveness and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Experience with technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
