Job Title: Junior HR Coordinator (Employee Relations)

Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite 3 days per week – Wednesday required)

Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: $21.85/hr on W2

As a Junior HR Coordinator (Employee Relations) , you will provide employee support, assist with HR processes, and help drive operational excellence within a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow across multiple HR functions while delivering exceptional service to employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality employee support via Basecamp and other digital service channels.
  • Manage HR inquiries through a case management system, ensuring timely resolution on topics such as benefits, leave, compensation, immigration, and policy guidance.
  • Maintain and update self-service knowledge articles to improve process transparency and employee autonomy.
  • Utilize Workday (or other HRIS) to process employee corrections, troubleshoot issues, and support workflows.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance employee experience.
  • Support HR technology enhancements through user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assist with policy interpretation, program execution, and escalation management.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or centralized employee support/customer service environment
  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM or similar HRIS systems
  • Familiarity with Case Management tools (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Basecamp)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proven problem-solving and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in HR Shared Services or People Operations team
  • Understanding of employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, data changes, benefits, policy interpretation)

Additional Details

  • Onsite requirement: 3 days per week, Wednesdays mandatory , other days flexible.
  • Initial training will be extensive to set you up for success.
  • Contract duration: 6 months, with possible extension based on business needs.
