Position Summary

The Custodian Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing office, meeting rooms, bathrooms,
kitchen areas and machine shop work areas in all facilities. Must be Bilingual-Spanish

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Cleans all facilities floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
• Uses brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners as required.
• Cleans equipment in the machine shop area.
• Services, cleans and supplies restrooms and kitchen area.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and sponges.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Uses and properly labels all chemicals
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• 1-3 Years' work experience
• Proven working experience as a janitor
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• Must be Bilingual-Spanish
