We are currently looking to add an Accounting Specialist to our team!Position Overview
As our Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions across multiple entities, reconciling accounts, and reviewing general ledger schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and automotive dealership operations, excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and review account details, schedules, journals, trial balances, general ledgers, financial statements, and daily operating reports.
· Record financial data accurately and in a timely manner.
· Assist with confidential special projects.
· Identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, or irregularities promptly.
· Set priorities effectively and communicate the status of work assignments.
· Travel to and support business offices throughout mid-Michigan.
· Assist with year-end processes and provide documentation to external accounting firms.

Qualifications
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting.
· Automotive dealership experience strongly preferred.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Flexible and comfortable handling a variety of tasks.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Adaptability to multiple software platforms.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) is a plus.
